Medical Weight Loss Consultations
Nurse Practitioner–Led Care
A personalised, medically guided consultation designed to support sustainable weight management.
Your appointment includes a comprehensive assessment of your health, lifestyle, and contributing factors to weight changes. Where appropriate, your Nurse Practitioner may request and interpret pathology, provide tailored advice, and develop an individualised management plan.
Referrals to allied health or medical specialists (such as physiotherapy, nutrition, or surgical services) may be arranged if clinically indicated. Ongoing support and follow-up are available to help you stay on track.
Please note: Prescription of weight loss medications is not guaranteed and will only be considered where appropriate, at the discretion of the treating practitioner.

Nurse Practitioner–Led Care at the beauty nurse
At The Beauty Nurse our medical weight loss consultations are designed to support sustainable, evidence-based health outcomes—guided by a qualified Nurse Practitioner with advanced clinical training.

We understand that weight management is complex. It is influenced by metabolism, hormones, lifestyle, medical history, and overall health. Our approach moves beyond quick fixes, focusing instead on individualised, medically guided care that supports long-term results.

A Personalised, Clinical Approach to Weight Management
Your journey begins with a comprehensive consultation that explores your health history, lifestyle, and goals.
During your consultation, we may assess:
-
Current health status and medical history
-
Weight history and previous weight loss attempts
-
Lifestyle factors including nutrition, sleep, and activity levels
-
Hormonal influences and metabolic considerations
-
Medications or underlying health conditions impacting weight
This allows us to develop a tailored management plan aligned with your individual needs and clinical picture.

Nurse Practitioner Scope of Care
As a Nurse Practitioner–led clinic, we are able to provide a higher level of medical oversight and continuity of care.
Your consultation may include:

Pathology Requests & Interpretation
Where clinically indicated, your practitioner may request blood tests to assess factors such as metabolic health, hormonal balance, and nutritional status. Results are carefully interpreted and incorporated into your personalised plan.
Individualised Treatment Planning
Your management plan may include a combination of:
-
Evidence-based lifestyle and behavioural strategies
-
Nutritional guidance (within scope)
-
Activity and movement recommendations
-
Education around sustainable habit formation
Referrals to Allied Health & Specialists
If appropriate, we may refer you to other healthcare providers to support your outcomes, including:
-
Physiotherapists for movement or injury support
-
Accredited nutritionists or dietitians for specialised dietary care
-
Medical specialists or surgeons where further assessment is required
Ongoing Monitoring & Support
Weight management is not a one-time intervention. We provide ongoing follow-up consultations to monitor progress, adjust your plan, and support you through each stage of your journey.

A Realistic and Supportive Approach
We prioritise practical, achievable strategies that fit into your lifestyle. Our goal is to help you build sustainable habits, improve your health, and feel supported—not overwhelmed.

We take a compassionate, non-judgemental approach, recognising that every patient’s journey is different.

Important Information
