Consultations for Volume Concerns
At The Beauty Nurse, we offer medical consultations to discuss changes in facial structure such as volume loss or areas of asymmetry that may occur with ageing. During your consultation, our Registered Nurses will conduct a thorough health and facial assessment, review your goals, and outline whether treatment options may be appropriate for you. No prescription-only treatment can be provided without a full medical consultation, and there is no obligation to proceed.
FAQ
WHAT DOES THE TREATMENT PROCESS INVOLVE?
Every client begins with a comprehensive consultation. This includes a detailed medical history, facial assessment, and discussion of your goals. Treatment planning is collaborative and focused on individual needs. If a prescription medicine is considered appropriate, it will only be provided under the authorisation of Nurse Practitioner Cassandra. The procedure itself involves the use of sterile technique and may include a fine needle or cannula for placement. Post-care instructions and a review appointment are always provided to ensure safety and follow-up.
WHEN WILL I NOTICE CHANGES?
Some people notice changes immediately after treatment, although swelling and bruising may temporarily affect the initial appearance. These usually resolve within several days. The most accurate indication of treatment outcomes is typically observed at around two weeks.
HOW LONG WILL THE RESULTS LAST?
Treatment effects are temporary. Longevity varies between individuals and depends on factors such as the area treated, the product used, and individual metabolism. On average, results may last between 6–18 months, but this can differ significantly from person to person.
ARE THERE ANY RISKS?
All medical procedures carry risks. Common side effects may include redness, swelling, bruising, or tenderness at the injection site. Less common but more serious complications, such as infection or vascular events, can occur. These will be explained in detail during your consultation, and informed consent is always obtained before proceeding.
CAN THIS TREATMENTS BE COMBINED WITH OTHER TREATMENTS?
Sometimes treatment for volume concerns can be considered alongside other cosmetic procedures. However, timing and suitability must be carefully assessed on an individual basis. Your practitioner will advise on safe sequencing with other options such as skin needling, facials, or other cosmetic procedures.
